hi all,

today we deployed a new version of the script.
it contains several new features:
-include the db_version
-include the script version
-monitoring for each server
-better monitoring for not locateable ip’s

next steps:
-include a fallback server to the script (if the database of one location is down – the script automaticly takes the data from an other location and informs the admin!)
-location monitoring to balance the requests between the locations!

we did an example over 6850 rewuest withe the average execution time of the script:
for ip2loc.info -> 0.025972870456489 average execution time in sec.

ip2loc.org is offline at the moment.
hostso deleted the db, don’t know why.
we try to restor it, it will take some houres!

NEW LOCATION ip2loc.net will be up @ 06.06.2010

in the new future i will provide the php scripts for autocreate the databases and the script to
check the ip for ypur own webserver. I will made ths open source to improofe the script.
also a net step is to ad more location info for exampel timezone.

a complete new project is a lat/lon based lookup to get the nearest known city. i will
provide this for 62 countries!
